Description
What MICROSHIELD PVP 10% is used for?
It is used to treat,
- Skin infections
- Disinfection of Wounds, cuts, abrasions and burns
- Postoperative wounds
- Prophylaxis against infection in hospital and surgery procedures
Talk to your doctor before using MICROSHIELD PVP 10%, if you:
- Are allergic to povidone iodine or any of the other ingredients
- Have thyroid problems
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- Benzalkonium chloride
- Bupivacaine liposomal (medicine used to reduce severe pain)
- Lidocaine (topical anesthetic)
- Collagenase
- Lithium
- Fibrin sealant, human (medicine used to control bleeding)
- Always apply this medicine as exactly as your doctor told you
- The affected area should be cleaned and dried
- Apply full strength, as a paint, or soak or spray as often as needed
- Do not use the dressing longer than 1 week
- For external use only
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- Irritation, swelling or redness
- Systemic effects include metabolic acidosis
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
- Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
